I hate the Willow Wood. I moved to Nettleville as soon as possible.

Personal preference for some of it. However you have the Bank across the road from the Inn. In Nettleville (or Starcrest) I log in and I'm standing next to the banker. This is quite useful when burdened by strongboxes full (or empty ) of trade goods.

I also don't suffer that prat of a bard in the middle of the zone.

I'd agree that Oakmyst Forest is probably the best of the Qeynos "Gardens". Forest Ruins is ok but it feels so small. Peat Bog is actually quite well designed and much larger than most people think but it is so gloomy. The Caves might be interesting but it seems very group oriented as soon as you leave the entry level.

I tried moving into another area of Qeynos, but considering my gate spell takes me to Willow Wood, I moved back. Actually Willow Wood is the best for me, minus the added lag we got from that server transfer. But its alot easier to have 1 zone that has my tradeskill zone, my gate spot, bank, mender, etc etc. Was a pain gating into Willow Wood then having to zone into Starcreste and run to my inn room. Then if I wanted to Tradeskill I was right back in Willow Wood for the Wayfarers. I know there are other societies, but the Wayfarers have the best merchants to buy misc items.

As far as mining goes I think Forrest Ruins is best for low level mining. Go into the actual ruins and you can get tons of stuff. Most of the people who hunt in that zone are too low to actually enter the fort and go any amount of distance.

Aarghhh!!...whatta bunch of pansies. Evil is where Evil lives and Evil lives in Freeport. You haven't lived till you've seen the glorious decay and smelt the rotting odours of this wondrous den of iniquitous souls

IMO the only viable place for all harvesting in freeport is the ruins for T1 . Sunken city has stuff but theres only a few places that have nodes since half the zone is ground w/water up to your ankles . Nodes dont seem to pop on ground like that .
Graveyard is ok but there are not a ton of nodes there either compared to ruins .

for t2 tho I like oasis shrubbery in commanlands cause i can get oranges from em and noone seems to mine em so theres always a bunch of em around . Oranges = good drink from a friend of mine :)
