To be honest I don't think it's a Qeynos thing. I think people that stupid would probably be looking for a Cleric if they had a Mystic in the group.

I find wards actually work more powerfully than heals - especially against hard-hitters. And you can apply them prior to combat and avoid the instant heal-aggro that a cleric gets. How the different ways of covering damage work out in terms of power efficiency I am not so sure.
