Ok, I have Tellurian at Adept 3, Grim App3 and Undying Adherent at App2.
What is the best use of them?
I use Grim as in group situtaions, as spellcasters can't tank as well.
Which is better for solo tanking, my lower level Tellurian at a better spell research level, or my higher level Undying at a lower spell research level?
Any input is greatly appreciated. I seem to do better with the Tellurian but wanted to check around.

My necro is only 23 and I don't have the adept 3 recruit pet so my answer is going to be more of an educated guess.
First, what is the max level of your spider pet? I believe it will be 25 or 26. As soon as your spider pet turn's blue instead of white is when you should switch to the lvl 24 pet. The reason being is that your lvl 24 pet will still be increasing in levels with you where as your spider will begin to trail off behind you. The spider at this point is probably equal level but a stronger pet than the app4 lvl 24 zombie. Oh, and yes I would still probably use the Grim app3 in groups simply because of his damage output. At level 24 my Tellurian recruit is green to me, not sure at what level he got mastered. I use the hero pet for tanking, so I have not used my Tellurian in a while.
If that was at level 20, an Adept 3 should correspond to a level 25 App 2, I believe. (App 2 = current level + 0, Adept 3 = current level + 5).

Now, I use the Undying adherant because he is a great tank. I let him go in to battle and get aggro. Then I can nuke and blast without getting hit. I solo a lot so this technique does me well.
When I group, I tend to use the spell binder, even though he does not go up to 26 now. But I think he does more dmg. I don't know if his taunt interferes with the tanks taunt... but the spellbinder doesn't taunt (that i know of).

I would recommend doing everything you can to upgrade those pets to at least app 4, adept 1 if possible. As a conjuror I use my lvl 24 pet spell while solo or in groups I don't trust cause it can tank (its adept 3) I have also got the adept 2 freebie lvl 30 fire pet which seems to dish out great DPS, but dies in about 3 hits.
I just recently got the spell Aery Rider and managed to upgrade it to adept 1. I have yet to really understand all it is capable of though. It seems to me it is a scout pet with medium damage output and medium tanking abilites.
Anyways in your case if the tellurian recruit is still even con Id say it is your best pet since you have adept 3 of it. I don't know anything about necro pets, but I imagine you get them at the same level as a conjuror and more then likly they are the same type (as in caster, tank, etc). I would guess at lvl 24 you got a new pet spell, that is the one that is meant to replace your lvl 10 tank pet. If you got a level 20 pet it is probably a caster pet, that is the one Id use if your in a group with a trustworthy tank. Don't know if it helps much, but I found most of my conjuror pets on the Freeport Market. Seems like evil spells drop alot on the Qeynos Side, if you have a hard time finding upgrades you might check that. More often then enough I can find Adept 1 spells cheaper then app 3 and 4. People are wanting 2 and 3 gold for app 4 lvl 30+ spells, but I found some of the adept 1's for less then 2 gold.
