Havent tried scout but priest, fighter and mage is almost equall when it comes to solo up to lvl 20. After that I dont know about mage since my highest mage is lvl 21.
Guardian and Fury solo equally up to lvl 32. (thats the lvl they are now).
All can solo green group mobs ^^ at all lvls, it just comes down to what kind of of mob. Some are tougher and some are easier even though they both are ^^ and same lvl.

Thats what I know from my own experience but from reading alot and talking to guildies etc my guess is that all classes solo just about the same so imo you should choose a class you find fun to play.

Well I can't speak for anyone else, but I enjoy soloing with my ShadowKnight. The horse is a bonus for sure. When I explore I can use my horse to outrun any mob, but the horse becomes a pain when I am in a group, so I usually dismiss him.

I can solo any "solo" flagged mob grey-red, red solo mobs I can solo up to 4 or 5 levels higher than me. Group mobs I can take most green ^^ and some blue ^^, as mentioned it depends entirely on the type of mob I am fighting as some ARE stronger than others of the same con. Usually healing mobs are tough to take out, but if you approach it knowing you are dealing with a healing mob, you can keep warding yourself and lifetapping until it runs out of power then lay into it.

I think I just like the ShadowKnights versatility when by him/her-self. If I get in a pinch when I'm alone I can FD and not have to worry about other group members safety.

Then there is duoing, a friend of mine, 30 Inquisitor, and I, 28 SK, can duo even and yellow con group ^^ mobs as long as we do HOs we are fine.

As a 21 Guardian I know that we solo pretty darn good. Of course, you have to consider a few other things as well. If you have a bunch of adepts, no matter what class you are you will be able to hold your own soloing, depending on the mob you choose to fight. Also, dispite what some say, race plays a part in soloing ability at lower levels especially. If you happen to pick an odd combo like Ogre Mage, that could help or hurt your ability to solo. It could be argued that the ogre mage would be a worse soloer because he would have less power, and it could be argued that he would be a better soloer because he would have more life. You would have to test that out to be sure. Also, equipment makes a difference. If you update your equipment and don't get overqualified for it, you will solo better. Also in regards to equipment, I have found that as a Guardian (defensive in nature) I solo better using a two handed weapon because I can do better damage. I have seen quite a few solo zerkers using shields for the opposite reason since zerkers are naturally more offensive. All in all, I think each class can solo equal, just a matter of the players ability. I'm not sure that I believe it, but I have heard from several priests that it is harder to solo with priest than any other class.

hands down.. Conjuror... at 21st level I can solo yellow and orange con's and not take a single point of damage.

I don't think there is a big difference in what each class can kill. I'm pretty sure every class, if generally equipped the same with abilities and gear could all probably kill the same mobs solo. Where the difference comes in is your downtime. For instance, my defiler has to wait about 1 to 1.5 minutes between kills to regain power. My necromancer only needs to pause for about 20 seconds between kills due to his power regening spells. That's the trick to soloing IMO. The downtime between fights.

So I guess I would say that necromancer/ conjurer are probably the most efficient soloers because they will be able to kill more mobs in an equal amount of time.

Not sure if i'm going about things the wrong way, but i have great difficulty soloing group mobs of ANY colour as a 28 templar. I can solo grey/green/blue/white solo mobs (never tried higher), but solo mobs are rare as hens teeth at higher levels. I've been trying to solo mobs in TS to finish some quests, and it usually takes all my power to take down two grey++ group mobs. I can't even make a dent in green group mobs before i'm on a shard recovery quest. Other's have made it sound so easy to take down group mobs, but i just don't seem to have the dps to take mobs down before my power goes. When soloing i usually pull with an ac debuff, hit it with Mark of Prawns, an appropriate Mastery spell, Combative Faith, and then Divine Blade HO until i run out of power and then get to watch for 20 mins as i melee it to death (ekeing out Supplicant's Prayer when i get power enough if needed). I suspect most of the templars who solo well have better gear than i do or higher spell upgrades. All my spells are app3 or adept1, but my equipment is mostly green or grey, with a little blue from some recent AQs. Maybe i should just do a bunch of Wholesaler tasks to get some cash and try to outfit myself better, meh.

Mind you, i chose to be a templar in order to be a sought after group support member, not a soloer. I'm just a little dissappointed that EVERYONE else seems able to solo better than me, including other templars, hehe. My Guardian friend of the same level was easily able to dispatch the dwarf ghost in the botton of van halen's tower in antonica for the workboots quest...i can't even get him to half health however.

Hey I hear ya. I have 27 templar with the same problem. If you go out to Zek or EL there are a lot more solo mobs that will last you into your early 30's. Once I did those access quests, I found soloing much easier.

I don't try ^^s, not even green ones. I have all APPIVs and a few Adepts I's, finished up through AQ6, bought like 20 gold worth of gear, and still have this problem.

But then again, at higher levels, I have no difficulty getting groups.
