okay heres my question where in commonlands/graveyard/anywhere off the isle of refuge do i find salfs i know there from rocks but what rocks can someone tell me which ones i need to harvest?
I think you just buy salt from the vendor in the your wholesaler society. What recipe did you need it for?
I have found that once you leave the Isle of Refuge it is tough to find salt but almost impossible to find pepper! If you are trying to make <packet of spices> I'd say just buy it from the merchant in the wholesaler. It isn't a primary ingredient for anything that I know of so it doesn't really NEED to be delectable.

so would it be smart to make a lowbie character just to stay on the isle an gather salts an stuff i cant find off the isle?
Only if you want to waste a character slot.
Like OBD said, you don't need to have your spices be delectable, so the spices you buy from the merchant would be good enough for any of your recipes.
Unless you were needing salt for something else?

For what it's worth, a packet of spice is 12cp (I think) and making a packet of spice takes 1 salt, 1 pepper and 1 coal so it costs 6cp plus the time to forage and to make the combine. I don't see the 1.2sp per stack saved as worth the trouble of doing the combine so I just buy the stuff!

well thanks all one the info im sure at some point ill give in an start buying the stuff but im a bit short on money atm an dont mind wasteing a charact slot i have 8 slots an a few characters i dont even play only have 2 character i play a lot =)
