Questions about statusFollow

#1 Jan 31 2005 at 4:54 AM Rating: Decent
Since I havent joined my old EQ1 guild in EQ2 yet I havent bothered about status and how it works.
Did 'a foul wind' and didnt get any rewards. Didnt understand why.
But now I found out that all heritage quest gives you personal status when your in a guild.. True?
Also, since I have done a few heritage quests, foul wind, dwarven woorkboots etc and Im also working on fishbone earing and jboots I wonder what happens when I join my guild?
Will I get status for the quests I have allready done retroactive?
I mean dwarwen workboots, fishbone earing and jboots gives a helluva lot of status I hear.. Would suck if I didnt get any status just because I was guildless at the time.

Also, what happens If I have xxx status in a guild and then disbands the guild?
Will my status go away? Will it be restored when I join a new guild? Will my appartment be lost if it is bought with status?

[Rant]
Imo, it would be superstupid of SoE to make it that you can do heritage quests if your guildless and get NO reward at all..
Having to be in a guild to gain status is stupid imo..
[/rant]

I hope someone can answer my questions!

Well status is all tied up with being in a guild, it's the way a guild gets levelled up.

Not sure if those Heritage quests you mention give status because I haven't done any of those. But I have done other Heritage quests that didn't. Status comes from doing City Writs which come from 4 different writ givers and each one gives a different faction as well. Then there is a separate NPC that gives crafting tasks that earn status and faction.

I doubt that any status would be awarded retroactively, sorry.

Any guild member can earn status but only Patrons can contribute to the guild level. If a Patron leaves a guild, the guild level goes down. If a member has status and they then become a Patron, they lose points which go to the guild.

Someone else can confirm, but I think if you leave a guild, you lose all your status points.
