Really think SOE should look over there writ system or whatever. It hardly seems fair that a lvl 14 can get writs that involve killing 10 bears in antonica but a lvl 15 has to go to stormhold and kill lvl 20 mobs for a writ. Im all for making them more challengeing (and hopefully more rewarding) at higher levels. But it seems like a hastey jump from 14 to 15. I went to 4 different writ npcs in Qeynos and 3 of the 4 quests involve lvl 18 to 20ish group mobs in stormhold. So while the lower levels are soaking up the SP killing soloable mobs lvl 15ish to 18ish is stuck unable to get there writs done.

Sure Stormhold is groupable at lvl 17ish and up, but its more or less lvl 20+ as far as getting a group goes. Why can't lvl 15+ writs involve the higher level mobs in Antonica like Giant Bears, windstalker residents, undead, etc. Seems to me Stormhold writs should be given out till your about level 20.

It doesn't get better trust me.

Last writ I got was Sabertooth lookouts at like level 24 they were tough but doable.

I am 28 now and the writ is for Varsoon Apprentices inside Varsoon, man thats a bump up tenfold.

Everything in Varsoons seems grouped mostly red some blue but nothing I can solo.

So I get another writ Bloodsaber Medics in Crypt of Betrayal and thats another step up about 10 fold maybe a group of three but they are tough little casters.

Trouble is the writs are based on a certain block of levels so if you get the bottom of the shelf you need a full group and if you get to the top you are killing grey mobs and wasting your time.

Would be nice if they divided the shelf in half. Or maybe it is divided I hadn't done a writ for a while.

I think the general assumption is, that if you're in a guild, you'll be able to do them as part of a group.

Yeah, get five other guildies, have them all get the same three or four writs as you, then do them all together.

I've done quite a few guild writs, and yes, guild writs are divided up on level chunks. I can only speak for Freeport writs as I don't have a Qeynosian character. It seems to alternate writ types. One set of writs 15-19 are group writs, 20-24 are solo writs, 25-29 are group writs again, and 30-34 are again solo writs.

The level ranged that you get group oriented writs are a bit tougher in only that the mobs you will be fighting will generally be group flagged mobs, sometimes you can find the same mobs in other areas flagged solo, but they are normally few and far between. It ends up being easier and more effective to just get a few guildies together and work on writs for a few hours.

Something I will add, it is best to just pick 2 writ givers and stick with them. Every time you complete a writ you gain faction with one city group, and lose faction with the rest. The fewer factions you work on the faster you will gain access to their stores and perks.

Once you get to a certain guild level, or adventurer level, you may want to switch to just one faction and concentrate on unlocking their perks.

My level 21 Illusionist has been soloing writs in Thundering Steppes since level 20. The easy ones are plains snakes gotten from an NPC in the Arbor Tree in Eldarr Grove and small shore crabs from an NPC in the Mage tower in SQ. I forget the names, actually I think the one on EG is named Naturalist Tummyfill or something and the one in Mage Tower is Channeler something?

Something to look for when excepting writs is they have a con color like mobs and armor/weapons and spells all do. The green ones are easy the red ones are difficult. The snakes and crabs conned white to me at 20 and were doable as all the mobs were either white or yellow to me.

I got 4 writs all for TS now, every one of them involves grouped yellow and orange mobs lol. Just no luck at all for me :/

I might just try for all new ones next time I am in town. Those crabs and snakes would be easy. Plus those mobs seem to drop some loot. Was in a group today and we would attack them every time healer went LD (which was quite often). In 2 hours time we got about 8 chests. Sad thing is the bard won 4 of those chests, I got 1 for some sort of falling rocks quest.
