Light Armor vs Very Light ArmorFollow

OK so the book says that Mages can wear light armor, but my skill at lvl 20 (Necromancer) is till only 20/20. My very light armor is 100/100, but will we ever be able to wear light armor? It just seems kind of odd to never increase light armor ability if we have the skill. Now granted, we are casters and not designed really as tanks...but it would be nice to be able to take a little more hit damage once in a while.

Any thoughts?
