Hi all i have a question about SK's i want to know what race is best suited to them both statwise and roleplay wise, also for me i like my chacacters to look good aswell as fight good so please if anyone knows what race would be best please say.
Thanks

Edit: also once i reach lvl 20 and become a Sk do the crusader skills still work? because some of them seem to be more suited to the paladin.

It's really up to you, traditionally (EQ1) the best SKs were normally troll or ogre, but that was just because of their Slam attack and beefier melee stats.

If you wanted a higher Int for a stronger spell casting oriented sk you would probably go Dark Elf, Erudite or Gnome.

In EQ2, however, there are no classes that fit a certain class mold. Any race can, likely, do just as well in any class as the next race.

That being said, I play an Iksar Shadowknight in EQ2, mostly because Iksar have always been the most hated race, and now that everyone is forced to deal with them, I might as well be that major thorn that everyone wants to yank out and toss away.

another questions if anyone know, can I become an SK in Qeynos? I just went warlock over there and wasn't sure if I could do that with this class as well.

No, qeynos is 'good' city. You can be the good equivilant of a shadowknihgt, a paladin. You must be a citizen of Freeport to become a ShadowKnight, either by initial selection, or by betreying by level 17.

Not to hijack this thread, but, aren't Warlocks evil too?

Warlocks are male witches and there are good and evil witches. I have an SK on Highkeep he is a Dark elf. You can pretty much choose what you want, I have less strength only by a minute amount but my power pool is larger than an Ogre or Trolls and I can still stand my ground pretty well. Although you pretty much can use almost any race for any class you have to still keep in mind what you want for your stats based on the races. Even if you are only short on INT by 10 points it is still 10 points.

I say though play what ever you like, then make your ability adjustments as you go along, I believe one of the first sets of new abilities you get when you level every 2 levels gives you a chance to offset the race base numbers so if you choose a Barbarian but you are short on INT for your SK sometime between level 1 to 12 or so you can increase his INT when you hit a level (I think it is 8). To balance out his stats.

I like to see gnome SK's :)
