Idea for a future expansionFollow

#1 Jan 26 2005 at 11:33 AM Rating: Decent
I was thinking it would be cool if after you get to level 60 (if you ever get there) to be able to then gain more levels and with each additional level you would be able to pick a skill from the other subclasses within your archetype. For example: at level 61 a Guardian could pick Feign Death from Brawler subclass or Faithful Swing from Crusader subclass. I know that is a long way off and will probably never happen, but I thought it would be a pretty cool idea to customize characters and give those who have worked hard to get to level 60 even more to work for.

SOE claims to have content planned and/or in production for expanding the game up to I think level 200 (maybe higher, I forget). I would tend to think that each class would get an even more defining sub-class or a class specialization.

I.e. Shadowknight at level 60, gets the choice of advancing different aspects of the class, such as: Defensive Melee, Offensive Melee, Offensive Casting, Defensive Casting, Utility, Undead Control, etc...

This could be done by another class selection. A "Grave Lord" will be mroe intune with handling undead. A "Corpse Destroyer" would be more offensive, while a "Black Guard" would be more defensive. Those are just some ideas and hopes I have for the future.

Hmm, it would be nice to have something like that, and it would make each person very unique.
But, they would have to change the way you level. Because we all know once you hit a curtain level you have to work at it just to get half a blue. I can't see myself leveling 200 this way.

Yeah the SOE minds would have to come up with something. I'm curious about how long it will take before they expand the maximum number of levels. I don't see it happening soon, mostly because it isn't needed yet. Anyway, most of it is over my head anyway, but I thought that was a pretty cool idea.

Actually I can see an expansion being released within the next 6 months. While the average on most servers for level is around 13 or 14, what you dont see, is that it is mostly due to people either being very high, or very low level. That also includes the numbers of everyone alts, or characters they created and never played.

I would say the average for frequently played players is about 20, including high, mid and low level players, just excluding mules or "dead" characters.
