I just like to know why so many people in eq2 just run about like headless chicken's. You get a invite to a group and before you know whats going on, some moron in the group pulls a mob they not on, they die, then they ask for a rezz?

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles Wayne.

Sounds like the classic (noobie) characters. Not really knowing what to do or proper party etiquet (sp). I am new myself, but not in the form of MMORPGs, so I cant really speak for many. I wouldn't fret, they might not know what they are doing or how to be a member in the party.

Maybe you could school them? That way when I make a party they don't do the same? =P just kidding. Sorry though Wayne. Keep on truckin though!

I feel you...I had the exact same experience. If it gets out of hand I leave the group, there are plenty of other groups to join. This behaviour tapered off (for me atleast)around level 19-20. I'd say a bit earlier but I was in more than a few scarcrow croups where people were running in 10 different directions.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that this game is made up of so many people who come from different gaming backgrounds. Grouping and pulling was done one way in EQ1, another way in DAOC and yet another way in SWG and so on, and so on.

Hopefully, after a little more time has passed, we will develop our own EQ2 style.

add to that.. I've noticed a lot of people simply lack patience.. and good fighting tactics.

engage mobs for the long part of the battle *away* from the spawn zone.. after a few minutes someplace you'll know where things pop, it's simply a matter of not being there, but people get in a hurry for XP, start a fight and do not move someplace safe, get pop'ed on and get wiped..

I would just like to say, that if you are the Leader of a group, you are in control of that group. Just as you would be leader of a raid. Without organization from the leader, the other players run rampant. The Leader needs to identify each player's role before the first Mob is pulled. Are you MT? Are you a healer? are you a DPS? The leader decides who will fill these slots. Sometimes it is difficult to assign spots when you have to group members who can both be tanks...etc, So usually the Tank with the most HP becomes the MT. And as far as two healers would go, they usually speak to each other to decide who will buff who, and who will they primarily keep healed or buffed....Make a group channel, and make sure your group is on it....Better organization is always helpful in preventing the type of gameplay you have described. If you don't care to join a group that has already formed for one reason or another....Then form your own group, with the range of players you want in the group. You may not have a full group immediately, and this will definately take some time and patience....but once your group begins to pull those MOBS the organization will make this a smoother process.....
