Hi all has anyone been able to upgrade the level 5 fighter kick past app2. Have not been able to find the upgrades anywhere, was just wondering if there is an upgrade.

Yes, they are player made, and can be bought from a broker, or made by you. If you fail to make the App3, then you get the App2.

I'm not sure if they fixed this already, but: When you make the App 3 rune for your kick upgrade, it will actually *say* it's an "app 2" kick. But when you scribe it, it scribes as an App 3 kick. It's like this for several combat abilities, but I can't remember the others off the top of my head.

Don't spend too much time chasing it. Knee Break is a guardian (possibly warrior) replacement skill for kick. You might want to check the level it becomes available as it does more damage and is on the same reuse timer as kick.
Warriors get Knee Break at 19.6, I replaced Kick at this point. Knee break does crushing damage, plus gives a chance to interrupt, which is always a <good> thing.
At level 10 if you are a warrior you can choose Saren's Crushing Blow, which is the equivalent of an AdeptII kick which also interrups casting. And yes Knee Break is at level 19.6 for warriors and also interrupts casting.
