I reached level 18 (woot) almost 19 and i became curious to know whether i should go fury or warden. If anyone who has either or both (dont know why you would have both but some people do) could give me some insite to what they think of their character please. Thank you in advance.

Gratz. I have a fury - but didn't lvl him much beyond that. Don't know why. Groups drove me crazy and I got tired of soloing him.

In general Furies seem to be slightly better at offense. If you want to solo a lot, Fury might be good.

Wardens are slightly better for parties, arguably. Wardens get an "evac" spell at some point.

But Furies get ... I think a group speed buff (for running away) and maybe group invis.

Study the spell lists. Wardens can solo. Furies can heal groups. It gets complex - Warden agi buffs are apparently very useful and actually make up for some of their weaknesses, etc etc - sorry I don't remember all the nuances.

Wardens get "snare" spells, but from what I've heard they don't seem to do much. You can't kite with them. You may want to ask a Warden about them.

Furies get a panther or female lion form at lvl 20. Wardens become wolves.

Gratz! You will have a tough choice at level 20 on Spec. training, cuz they all sound good.

A lot of Furies I talk to choose the x of winter - the one that upgrades Regrowth. Regrowth is a major heal spell when grouping, esp. since it is low agro - and chosing this option increases the "life" of it - makes it heal more and makes it more useful for levels to come.

I read here how one fury is mad he picked the damage shield one - he thought "wow it puts a ds on all grp members" - but he only realized later than in any sane group only the tank is getting hit. He said he feels awful he chose this one.

If you mostly solo the chill or stinging swarm upgrade might be okay - but I'd still strongly conside the regrowth one. Again I get the idea that a vast majority of furies pick it and are quite happy w/ it. It seems to be the most group friendly. And from 20 on soloing gets tougher - grouping is likely more the way to go - sounds like you group a lot anyway. GL!

I play a level 31 Warden and love every minute of it, my friend has a 29 furry and he seems very happy so either way you are a winner they are both great classes

To go Warden or Fury is totally depending on your personal prefrance of playstyle. If you want to heal and buff the group then you should be a warden....no question. If you want to supply dps and play more defencive then Fury. I play a Fury and never had a regret about it. You just have to know how you wanna play...both are effective charecters for a group.

I'm a 21 Warden at the moment. I chose the Regrowth upgrade, and couldn't be happier with it. It's good stuff!

If I was playing a druid of sorts I would have taken the regrowth upgrade. It is a great spell to have around if there is a cleric in the group. If it is anything like my cleric I am playing him as a Battle Cleric where I want him standing right beside the Tank swinging away and throwing up the odd heals. And having a Fury behide me using the Regrowth winter spell is great.

I chose a Warden, and I too did have a hard time choosing my first ability upgrade. The two best were the damage shield and the regrowth upgrade. I chose the group damage shield and here is why. I can upgrade Regrowth any time, and it will not be a group version, but there is a group version later. The new upgraded nettleshield not only is of adept 2 quality but group based. As a healer I noticed that this did around 25dmg when hit which was more than the original. If I was to die during battle cause of aggro woes, and there are casters left that the mob decides to turn its attention to at times the mob will be so depleted in HP at that point when the tanks and I are down that it is possible that the remaining group may take out the mob just by having that on them.

It is easier to manage one spell like this one for the group then in singles and more efficient. As nice as regrowth can be it is not very efficient. DS's are very useful for what they do. Emergency attacks, and of course gotta love dual wielding mobs taking double divine damage :)

My 2 Coppers on this one...

I now have a 24 Fury and love the class. As for the choosing of an ability upgrade, REGROWTH UPGRADE all the way.
Why? Well, because many spells stack. Winter and Regrowth (Adept 1) are a healing force not to be snuffed at. Slap both on that tank and dps away, redo regens as needed. You may need an odd Bloom here or there but other then that, you are golden solo or main healer. At 24 my Winter heals about 113 a tick and regen does about 90. 200+ hp healing a tick is not bad at all.

Hope this helps anyone with this decision and happy gaming.

PS - Damage shields also stack. I love my class :)
