I have just started collecting this stuff myself as I spend more and more time in tier two zones.

It may be the primary ingredient for making:
planed maple
shaped maple
maple dowel
maple stave
etc.

All of which would start with:
Quote:
maple lumber
Components
Primary Component: raw maple(1)
Build Component 1: stroma resin(1)
Fuel Component 1: sandpaper(1)

The recipe asks for *raw maple* but some of the recipes are vague and don't really spell out what item(s) you need. I'll try it tonight and see what happens!

It isn't for any of those things. I believe it is for alchemist potions. (But not sure). I know though that that planed maple etc. takes severed maple, maple scraps, but not field maple.

Field maple is harvested of the fungi in Antonica. It has an unusual and disturbing appearance.

It is indeed used in alchemy:-
* Field Maple Compound (Alchemy, Level 10)
* Field Maple Emulsion (Alchemy, Level 10)
* Field Maple Mixture (Alchemy, Level 10)
* Field Maple Oil (Alchemy, Level 10)
* Field Maple Resin (Alchemy, Level 10)
* Field Maple Solvent (Alchemy, Level 10)
* Field Maple Wash (Alchemy, Level 10)

Field Maple Mixture for example can be used in the creation of:-

* Elixir of Endurance (Alchemy, Level 13)
* Elixir of Energy (Alchemy, Level 13)
* Elixir of Liveliness (Alchemy, Level 13)
* Elixir of Understanding (Alchemy, Level 13)

What on earth all those elixirs do however is beyond me.
