hello, I need to know whats the best class to choose and i want to be a guardian is that a bad choice or is it pretty good. i also wanna know if its a good person to be a main tank

The Guardian is definately SoE's idea of the best tank as they get the strongest defensive skills. However as you read around you'll see many people arguing that other classes can tank just as well.
My thought is that the differences will become greater at higher levels.
My Guardian is 21 and, so far, great for soloing or grouping.

I myself am playing with a guardian,lvl 23 and atm a paladin and beserker can do easily the same as i can when it comes to tanking,but rumour has it that in the higher lvls the difference will kick in, so i'm just gonna hang in there and belief that sony had to have some common sense,because otherwise a gaurdian is a pretty useless class, cause we don't even get anything at lvl 20
