A friend of mine is a devoted shadowknight, and we were both wondering if greenmist is still a quest in eq2... if anyone has any info that would be very useful to know.

There is a female iksar in Scale yard that speaks of the greenmist.

Wrong Greenmist. The iksar is talking about the weapon the Avatar of Fear used on the ogres during the Battle of Defiance (and was also used to wipe out the Shissar). The OP is talking about a sword that was basically an alt epic weapon for SKs in EQ1.

They are one in the same. Greenmist was a spiritual force. Shadowknights in EQ1 quested to obtain the physical embodiment of the force.

I've been keeping my eye out for any tidbits of information from NPCs but that is the most I have seen so far. This female iksar npc gives you a lot of dialogue, but just gives you a history as to why the Rallosian army lost the recent war against Qeynos.
