I have done quite a bit of farming in Antonica and I know some spots where I can run around for an hour and get fairly steady grownd spawn...like between the Oracle Tower and the Ardent Needle.

Does anyone know of a place like that in the Thundering Steppes? One of my guildies hit Sage level and I would like to locate some rare components so we can start upgrading our spells and arts.

Thanks

The south-eastern areas, near the undead crators contain a LOT of ore and fallen trees. It can get tricky dodging all of the undead, but it can be done. I've spent a few hours occasionally just harvesting in there while running around.

Another area would be the plains where the griffs are. Again, just watch out for aggro.

Thank you. Once I get all the skills past 90 I will try those places. Forresting and trapping are still lagging behind.

On the subject of nodes. Do some nodes appear in certain areas more than others? For instance I had a very hard time finding ore nodes in oakmyst but when I went to the caves it seems there was ore everywhere but very few dens and gardens? Is it just my imagination?

I believe certain areas do have higher concentrations of certain node types. I.e. the cratored areas of TS have a higher concentration of ores, while the flatter areas have higher concentrations of organics, and of course, watery areas are higher in fish. The more mountainous areas of TS as well as Nek seem to offer more dens to get pelts from.
