Hello fellow scoutians..(if thats even a word)
I need some advice on the Rouge quest. I am on the Safe House part. I have attempted to do this Solo and I don't even know where to go in the house. I keep getting aggro even with sneak on and I get jumped and die.
I have attempted this twice, once made it back out, the other died. there is like a 15 minute time before you can go back in.
Do I need a party, am I at the right place? In Qeynos Harbor...whats up?

this is a solo instant zone, you have to do it solo. You'll need to read up about the quest before hand (http://eq2.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?eq2quest=738). avoid the higher lvl mobs at all cost as theyll see though your sneak.

If you're still having trouble with this quest, I'd suggest you upgrade your Sneak as high as possible. I don't think I had anything higher then AppII when I did this quest.
If I'm remembering right, you go upstairs and to the end of a hallway. When you reach the end, there's a small box on a table that you need to inspect.
I've read some posts that talk about a scripted event where a set of guards (I think they were upstairs) says something like "Who's there?". Some people have said that if you don't stop at this point, the guards will jump you. This could be your problem as well.

thank you much for your replies. Both of you submitted very useful information. Arcain about that scripted event LOL, I saw one of them say that, but I took off because I thought they had heard me...so that was problem #1. #2 is my sneak I think its still AP.1.

Sneak Adept I helped me in my sneaking when I was doing Preditor.
Had app3 sneak on my rogue, and first time got attacked. Hadta zone out.
Next time, set run to walk (in abilities window). Went inside w/ sneak mode on. Went really slow. Move and paused. When guards said "hey what's that?" I was not close to em and stopped. a long time.
I think they look at you a while, then look away. Something changed. After the change I went on in - went to steps - slowly went up steps. Went to box at end of hall. Inspected - done. coulda just run out at that point but snuck out.
Don't touch walls or bump into anyone or anything.

There is no rouge quest. You might want to try the one for Rogues instead.

All of the above is correct, but even when I used all of that advice, I still kept getting caught. If you reach the hall where the box is, don't walk straight down to it -- take some steps, stop a second, take a couple more steps, etc. This got me about halfway down the hall before they saw me. However, instead of immediately running, I just ran straight for the box, got the stuff out of it, and then ran for zone. So you don't necessarily have to not get caught...you just have to get close enough that it doesn't matter.
And just in case you don't know, if you die in the room, you don't have to go back in to get your shard. Right-click on the door while you're outside and you can get it back.
Oh, almost forgot...has anyone told you to turn your runspeed to walk yet? That's really important.

EVERYONE! thank you so much for your help, I did actually complete this quest a few days ago and just didn't update my thread, sorry.
I did sneak, waited a minute incase aggro somehow built up, I walked slowly, heard the people talk, I stopped and waited, went up the steps and heard them talk again, so I stopped. made it down the hallway and saw the lockbox on the wall, I clicked it from a pretty good entrance, waited a bit, then slowly crept back outside muwhaha
