Different Horse, Different Speed ?Follow

I was wondering about the different horses`s prices and if it affect their speed.

Does it ? And if yes, Is the difference of speed bewteen the cheapest and the expensive is really big ? And if yes again, was is the speed of the cheapest horse? As fast as a sprint or higher ?
