My character is a Brawler currently, on the path to monk, and this is not about whether dual wielding is better than 2h or not.

Instead, my question is this: Has anyone compared the stats to the player crafted bo's and quarterstaff's to the quested and dropped stuff? I can't find any database that has enough crafted weapons to be able to tell, and many of the ones in this site are wrong since they have been changed one way or another by patches. I'll summarize my questions for ease of viewing:

1. Quarterstaff's are dual wieldable, correct?

2. Compare a Cedarstrike Rod (Quested: Queynos) to a Pristine Conditioned Maple Quarterstaff (crafted, tier 2). What do you think?

3. Compare the above, but not the stats, instead, compare the length of use until the weapon become white to you.

4. Compare a firwood fighting baton (Quested: Thundering steppes) to a Pristine Conditioned Ash Quarterstaff (crafted, tier 3). What do you think?

5 Compare the length of use of the weapons in #4 as well.

I see that the progression keeps going in the next tier of crafted bo's and quarterstaff's as well (briarwood). Is it possible that the common crafted items are equivalent, or maybe better, than the quested stuff? It also seems to me that you can use the crafted stuff a lot longer before you become overqualified for it. Let me know your opinion, as I will use it to consider many aspects of my future monk's career.

Thanks!!

Don't use Bos or QSs, but as far as gear in general, usually crafted stuff will be a bit better, but will take longer to get to, quested is very comparable to player crafted, it's all just in preference.

Personally I prefer either as long as it is droppable. I will use attunable stuff, but I'de rather be able to pass it on later when I am done with it instead of letting it rot, or destroying it.

To me in the end it doesn't matter, I mix and match to get the best results. If I need heat resists I will put my pristine forged carbonite spaulders on instead of my mantle of the Undead Dragoon.
