Gray QuestsFollow

I have read threads that were saying that once a mob turns gray you won't be able to get quest items from them in order to complete the quest. That is not true because I have recently completed a couple that had me killing grays. Maybe I misunderstood the postings but I believe that is what people were saying.

I am not sure, but I believe the only difference for grey mobs is that they will not drop the rare itens.

I mean .. if you are in TS hunting scarecrows and it is at least green to you. You have a chance to lot a "treaty for Treasure" scroll for the instanced quest. But if this same scarecrow cons gray you won't have a chance at all to loot this scroll.

This is my understanding for grey mobs .. never expect getting good loots or XP for them.

Gray mobs can be used for quest, but I believe not all of them will give you the point for killing.

someone correct me if I am wrong.

Grey mobs will still drop items on thier corpses. You will still get quest updates for killing them.

Heck you can even get skillups from them.

You will NOT get treasure chests or exp from them. If a item you need for a quest drops in a treasure chest (see: stilieto in TS for mana stone quest) then you will never get it from a grey mob.

Yes, you can get quest credit for killing grey mobs but you can not complete quests if a chest drop is required from a grey mob.
