I just got eq2 and someone has already registered with my 20 digit code. stuck and rather gutted

yeah just did. have to take game back. but they have no more in stock. dont know when i'll ever get to play eq2

bet you they wont take the game back. Most software stores have a "if its opened no returns" policy.

thats why i tend to like buying games from online sites (reputable ones) instead of the store. a guy can write down any number of codes from the store boxes.

Mmmm never seen the numbers on the back of the box before, I think someone would have to had opend the box, opened the cd then got the numbers. So in that case the sold and let someone return it or someone who worked there opened it and stole the reg number.

You can return Software btw just not for money but you can return it and get the same thing tho its not supposed to be that easy with the online stuff due to these kind of thing.

When I got FFXI last year the code was completely torn out of the manual. I took it back to gamestop but they couldn't give me another one because they were out of stock. Luckily though, another gamestop in the next town had some and they let me return it there. Maybe you could try something like that? I guess it depends where you got it.

I've been saved. game.net (yes, online store,no grubby sales boys) will give me a full refund. and i've managed to find it in stock elsewhere, maybe just maybe i'll get started soon!
