Hello all,

Been playing EQ2 for about two weeks now and all I can say is WOW...its changed greatly from EQ1 in most asspects. But besides all of that, I was wondering about crit hits. Is there any class that can do that? I've read there are critical hits, but was wondering what class? Well, recken not a Warroir, being a lvl 15 one and all 8(.

Does any class at all do crits now? Or crippling blows?

Thanks

No as far as i can tell there are no crits. It really doesn't matter though, with Heroic Opertunities being crits on steroids that you can trigger when you want.

It would seem strange that EQ2 has a chat filter for Critical Hits but does not allow them. They may be something that can happen at higher levels, or something that has yet to be implemented. Perhaps you have to have a certain strength... Who knows. All I know is that there is a chat filter for criticals and I am going to keep believing that I will see one some day.

That once in a while thing might actually be a riposte.

When you riposte - the damage for that hit is wildly different to a weapon hit - probably because it needed to be the same irrespective of if you were dual wielding, swoard and board, or 2 hander. They have put in a lot of effort to make sure the different styles are much more closely balanced compared to EQ1

I was thinking about this as well. I usually see my Guardian hitting for around 10 to 20, and then about twice a fight I would see my guardian hitting for about 30 to 50, and this is just alittle under what my HO's hit for. I guess I should up grade my attacks from app 2's. :-P

As Aranador said, it's probably a riposte. Likewise, my 23 zerker hits normally for about 19 tops but ripostes for closer to 70, which is close to my HO dmg. On that subject, dont worry about upgrading your skills for HO dmg, they dont affect it. yeah you get more dmg if you get a higher level mangle, but sky cleave / crushing anvil / hero's armor will all do the same damage as before you upgraded your mangle.

Had no crit hits yet :(, can't wait for them to happen tho.
