They are currently in game. They provide your guild with Status and return a little gold to you. I am not sure who offers them in freeport.

Yes, they are in Freeport, and it's in the update notes, i believe, who to see - might try The Arcane Academy. And the payoff was VERY good...they apparently took into account the interdependencies, and I received 1g 8s for a tier 2 writ that also gave nice guild xp.
It appears to vary by what you are asked to make. A friend got a tier 2 cooking writ and only got a few silver, but then cooking (provisioner) has NO interdependencies, they only have to buy coal and stuff.

The person you need to speak with is a lady called the Comisioner Someoneoranother, she was around the corner from the 2 people you choose your sub class's from.
Dracosy.
Ps. heres a little bug i think i discovered, if your grouped with someone lower than you tradeskil wise, you will get a lower choice. I'm T3 Armorer, but had a t2 outfitter with me in group(was in a diff zone tho) and i got Make Shaped Bloomers a t2 item, needless to say i can make all that stuff myself, so 2 hours later, made 1gd
8sp for maybe 20sp worth of product. a good deal all in all

Dracosy I don't think thats a bug its just you have to be like 26+ before it stops giving you lvl 18-19 recipes for writs.

Thank you very much for the information guys i really appreciate it, and i have almost finished with my first writ. Now i have a second question, when you do adventuring writs, you have to do all the differant factions or else you end up loosing faction with 3 and earning faction in one, is it the same with Trade Skill writs? Thank you again for any answers.

I live in Starcrest Commune. I am a scholar tradeskiller. Whom do I see in Qeynos to give me the Tradeskill Guild Writs? Thanks, V

I am obsessed with TS writs and have been doing them constantly with my provisioner for 2 weeks. They have been around since before the big change on Feb2. Commisioner Velenos gives them and he is now located behind the TS office place in WFP.
I started at lvl 20 and received T2 writs until lvl 23. It got annoying after that because I was getting recipes I could not do yet and I still need to hit 26 before I can do my next one.

About the factions. Yes you lose standings in all other factions when you complete a TS writ. I'm unloved ;)

Go in the tradeskill instance in North Qeynos. Its behind the Ironforge Estate. The writ giver is behind the counter, there is a broker there and a faction merchant in place of the normal merchant. So while you can do your writs there you can't buy any fuel in that instance.

Anyone can go in there? You don't have to leave your other Society? Oh and where in NQ is the Ironforge Estate please?

yep, anyone can enter the trade colition tradeskill instance even if you are in your primary 2, not much reason to craft there tho as u cant buy fuel or other items. about the only real bonus to crafting at these locations is that if you already have everything you need to do your tradeskill writ(unlikely as you wont even know what it is till you get there) is that u can turn in ur goods immediatly after completing the 10 an get another writ to start on

as far as where the Ironforge Estate is just use your way point to it, it is all the way to the north. What I like to do is when I do a writ I get a stack of stuff I need (fuel and all) so when I do a writ if I get the same one again I can turn around and pop it right out.
