Guild Raid and Administrating your GuildFollow

#1 Jan 12 2005 at 8:34 AM Rating: Decent
Guys,

I am not sure if it's just me or you all feel the same way. But My friends and I are having big trouble to keep guild as it really shoud be, a Guild not just a bunch of people under a common flag.

I see EQ2 as a good place for solo and for quick grouping to achive common goal (Congrats to Sony on that), BUT I am having hard time to comes up with something I could Raid with my guild. Writs quest are easily done with one sigle group and we don't have too much different zones and instances we could make a real raid (just in the shapes of EQ1) where we can clear the zone and kill the big boss in the end of the maze (how I miss dragon hunts and planes raids)

I have thing wondering mobs (type ^^^) roaming in few places, but even though this is not the raid thing I would like to acomplish.

I really with Sony could do something on that point. Raid-albe instances, where you can bring your guild and clear all the place and get some reasonable loot.

Is there any guild leader here that could give me some tips on where to go with guild? and anything to make guild interact within themselves?

Thanks,

I have been meaning to put together a list of mobs/zones for my guild to hit, so I guess I can go ahead and drop some tips here for starters.

At guild level 5 your guild gets a raid writ, which (in Freeport) is "Avatars of Betrayal'. It is a 6-12 person raid zone instance. Reccommended levels are 15-20 (but I think you can still get loot with up to level 23 players). It isn't a very hard or big raid zone, and have not gone through it with any chance of getting xp or loot as most of our guild is 25+.

That being said, it was a fun raid regardless, however short it was. (4 fights, 3 boss mobs).

I have been looking into other places to take the guild and have found a few. In Commonlands there are a few instanced raid zones. One being, Bloodskull Valley. I have attempted this one with a pickup raid of 14-16 people all around levels 20-25. We got through maybe 4 waves of fights before we wiped, but it was fun and with a few good groups (such as guild groups where everyone knows each others play styles) it should be a bit easier.

A little lower level zone is Zarvons Tower (I think that the name of it), the tower near nektulos IZ.

In Nektulos you can go to Nektropos Castle, I think that is an instanced zone. There is also an instanced zone near the docks to TS.

I actually came here this morning planning on researching some more zones, raids, quests that I can set up for my guild.

go to eq2.ogaming.com and search the beastiary for boss type of mobs and you will get info on what to raid.
There are alot of raid encounters / bosses not listed there yet though but it will atleast give you a few stuff.
