Giant Mastery Quest problemsFollow

Please let me know if the auto-pickup bug has been fixed, I am unable to find out any new information.

In my Giant Killing Parties, I keep getting the giant heart and nothing else. I have deleted the quest 7 times, and each within a few kills I find the heart and heart only. I have tried continuing with the heart trying for the other two (brain and eye) but no avail even after several hours.

Has anyone actually completed this since the bug started, or am I just really unlucky.

Thank you for your time and input.

Ditto for the Orc Mastery.

Before the "Big Patch" I successfully did this twice with all three parts dropping together. Since then I get one part and then nothing. If they sorted the drop mechanism to single piece drops then I'll keep going rather than keep deleting and going after the book again.

What do the mastery's actually give you? Better damage toward that creature or something? Who gives the quest?

The mastery quests are not given by an npc but started by inspecting items. For instance, the gnoll mastery quest starts in Gnollslayer keep, by inspecting a box there next to the merchant. The Skeleton mastery quest starts from inspecting a book in the Stormhold Library.

The reward is xp, coin and an item. At least, the gnoll mastery quest gave a hallberd to be placed in an appartment or house. Nice thing to hang on the wall actually :)

No idea what the others give, I'm stuck on the final element for the skeleton mastery quest. (a core element, annoying as I've killed a heap of skeletons with no luck)

Okay after the big patch I was able to finish the gnoll quest. Think I had the brain before the patch. Got the heart after 20 to 39 gnolls. The spirit wouldn't drop for ages. Was tempted to delete but didn;t. FINALLY got the spirit maybe 100 gnolls later. So, I think it is fixed.

Right, you get a cool poleax to hang on your apt wall. Save these, these might count as "status itmes" later on. In theory at some point having status items (trophies like these, rare furniture, etc) will lower your weekly upkeep cost for expensive high end housing. In theory. Or heck, that might be in game now, I dunno, sorry.

I finished the Elemental Mastery quest today. I got 2 of the 3 autodrops at one time. Within 10 more kills, the last autodrop occurred. At that time, the LORE items started dropping as well. I received 4 of the five within 15 minutes, the last took another half hour. The weird thing was, I never received a duplicate in the LORE drops.

Another interesting side note, after each elemental kill, I got 3 screen flashes that I did not find any quest itmes. Usually I have only see 1 of those messages per kill.

Ooh well, hopefully the Giant Mastery quest will start working for me and I can get more than just the heart.
