Help!!!!

I have managed to forage 4 pieces of Alder Wood and last night I found a Severed Bone...
When I "/ooc"ed the bone find I was barraged with offers in the 35-50sp range...
A guildie offered to trade me furniture for it so I gave it to her. (I still haven't aclue of the value of furniture... can't even pay my rent of 5sp!)

With the Alderwood I would make something with it IF I had the recipe to turn it into lumber... /doh

With all the hype about the rares I am thinking about just selling the ones I can find for the best price offered in the zone...
I saw the prices asked for the "raw bone" from the broker and OMG some people are greedy!

Input is welcomed... no flames please!

Huh , so you can make a piece of furniture that looks a little different than other furniture and get a discovery bonus. Seems a little silly anyone working in wood know something I don't about this? Can you make a fat bone shield or something usefull and wooden or an old school table is worth 30s to someone?

Most of the rares have a number of uses.

Hard Metals (Blackended Irons, FaySteel) are used in Weapons and Armor, in addition to some home items.

Soft Metals/Stones (Palladium, Coral) Can be used to make Jewelery(waste) or adept IV Spells.

Foraged Items (Sissil) Can be used to make Rugs and Paintings as well for Cloth Type armors.

Wood (Bone, Fir?) can be used to make some weapons, some shields, and furnature.

All of them are good finds and you can get a fair chunk of change for them. Only the Soft Metals are realy usefull other then novility for T1-T3, but all of them are nice in T4+

The furniture that people make can reduce the cost of housing if you have a house that uses both money and status points to pay for the upkeep.

Apparently the Warped Bone Bed is tradeable and looks good - or at least strange.

As far as I know all the rare Furniture is tradeable, makes them one of the few rare products you will see trading hands more then once.
