Poisons were changed with the last patch?! I used to be able to stack them...now I can't! I have to carry around a bunch on me at all times now! (I'm an angry angry mouse!)

How can I tell what each poison does? Someone said "by the colour of the bottle" ...is that true? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

poisons never stacked. They did appear too. but in reality only 1 went off at a time... if you had 4 stacked eventually one would use itself up and disappear. then after a long time the next would etc.

It's fixed. now they dont show stacking icons.

With the big patch, you can examine the poison and read a description on what it does. The same is true for Potions also.

As for stacking, I believe merchant bought poisons can stack because they are 1 use items. Play made poisons do not stack because they generaly have 1 to 5 uses each from what I hear. Besides that, each poison lasts for 12 hours anyway.

I haven't used my player made poisons yet to know for 100%. I might go hop on now and try that though.

The OP is talking about stacking in bags, not the effects stacking.

They still haven't got it right.

I had about 20 silver worth of poison in a stack and was a bit upset to find that after the patch I appeared to have only one vial. However this vial has multiple charges - I believe equivalent to the stack you had before. I have cast poison several times from the same apparently single vial. What is missing is a "number of charges" counter on it so I know when I am running out.

This was store bought poison by the way. It will be interesting to see what happens when I buy more.

What the patch said was
Quote:

- Alchemy Potions and Poisons have been changed to Baubles. They are no longer stackable and will use their charges properly.

So they don't stack but have charges - but they don't say how many Smiley: frown

Sorry I wasn't too clear as to what I meant by stacking. Cobra got it right though. I had stacks of the same poisons in my activate slots... 8 or so in one and 4 in the other. Yesterday there were only 1. It really bothered me that I had paid for all those only to lose them all. As for the 12 hours - I'm yet to see one last for more than a couple hours. I always make sure my poisons are in use since I solo and need the extra damage. They'd say they have 11 hours left, then POOF! gone after a few minutes. For some reason they just go away!

My bubble-headed-self didn't notice the potions I bought last night were not stacking... I bought 10 for more than 1sp each only to discover my inventory was stuffed >.<

I'm sorry, I'm tired and a bit upset the the recent changes. Guess I just needed to rant a bit.
I'm mostly angry with my graphics after this patch.
My bf bought me a new video card for christmas that finally allows me to see the world in a whole new way. But I still run in extreme performace as it eliminates nearly all lag in high traffic zones. NOW, after only short time with the card, the graphics look awful on that setting. Extreme performance originally looked very smooth and almost cartoony on this PC, now it's incredibly grainy.......stupid patch....... *rantrantrantrant*

From my understanding is the duration is something like 12 hours or 200 procs whichever is less. So if you're fighting a lot then it won't last 12 hours.

They will get around to adding charges to the description. I'm just glad they put descriptions on the potions/poisons which they hadn't originally stated in the first announcement of the coming big patch.

hmmmmmm.... I've been examining poisons today and none have a description as to what they do/how they work... Same goes for other items like Salve, ointments, etc... Everyone else can see descriptions? >.<

And since I can't see a description, please, someone, let me know what "salve" really does. I've been curious since day 1. lol

NPC poisons go by color. Playermade may or may not.

Very nice link. Thanks for that.

It raises some interesting questions though. If like poisons don't stack what about spells?
