Not to disparage J.C. and staff. Websites cost money and you have to do what you have to do to pay for these things. I understand their dilemma. We turned down IGE and chose to go the route of premium memberships and legitimate ads. He chose IGE money instead. It's the easier way, and for a game like this, probably the more profitable one too. I'm just posting this to point out to those complaining that a "free" site is giving the same information we are, that nothing is really free.
Oh to clarify, RPG Expert is owned by IGE. When I turned down running their ads, their next suggestion was to run ads for RPG Expert, so it would look like I was advertising a legitimate site, and they would just plaster that site with ads for IGE.

IMHO you pay one way or another and I would rather hand over a few dollars to a nonIGE site like this . If I remember correctly you dont have to pay to use this site , some of us choose to . I pay to help with the burden of running a site like this , I use it everyday I play Eq/EQ2 so why not help out a bit , makes sence to me . IGE is what wrecks games IMO , I would rather pay to use a non IGE site then use an IGE site for free .

None of our information costs money to view. IIRC you don't even have to log in to view, but log in to post comments and see your character profiles. Those with premium get no ads, get cool avatars, smilies, and posting titles among a few other cool things like image hosting, EB games coupons and a gamer mag!

I love this site. I started using it when I was playing FFXI and transitioned to EQ2. I purchases a premium because I figured that I was on the site so much I might as well support it...and I got to use my avatar
