Are they good or evil? The only one's I've ever seen on a who list have been based from Qeynos. My understanding of a Swash, is that they are pirates. So I'm going under the assumption that the people I've seen have done the betreyal quest.

No, Swashbucklers are good/Qeynos based, and are rogues. Yeah, you wouldn't think it from the name, but their evil counterpart is the Brigand. If you read the names of their combat arts though, the Brigand's sound much more evil than the Swashbuckler's.

In a Fantasy setting Swashbucklers are lovable rogues given to daring deed and high homour, often using cutting remarks as much as a cuttlg blade, yes some Pirates are portrayed as Swashbucklers but only the Hero's.

Brgands on the other hand where the enemy of the Swashbuckler, sinister evil bandits, who would kill you as soon as look at you.

Yes Swashbucklers are the romantic, suave, dashing swordsmen; think Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Zorro, or the Three Musketeers.
