I just finished chosing all my new Traits and this time around, I went with Cold Retribution, thinking have a Cold Proc on my weapon would be sweet for holding aggro (Im a pally) but when I got it, I found out its totally BS.
It an abiliy I guess...that has to be casted, so I figure its like Blessed weapon or something, so I cast it, it does NOT show up in buffs, or in concentration or anything....so I have no idea if its even on me...
Next I go out and use it in a battle, it procs ONCE for 7 damage...and thats it, it doesnt ever proc again, till I recast it....so i was pretty pissed off.
If there is another way of used it that is useful PLZ tell me, other then that, ALL Barbs beware, dont chose this!!!

It is pretty useless and sorry to say but you would have known that also if you would have done your homework before choosing. Although I did also make an error when I first chose War Wounds. It was like 2 min buff with +3 regen and +2 stamina but it was NON COMBAT and recast time something along the lines of Call of Qeynos/Freeport spells. So it was crap also.
I think only the defence and crushing resistance thing are worth choosing. Know this, slashing, crushing etc resistances do exists even though you dont see them in skills. So in theory you could get high enough crushing resistance to be basically stun-free. But in reality I think you can never do that ... its like all the other resistances - you think the 40 points really make a difference at some low lv and then when you hit lv30 and all the spell resistances are 800 or more.. you know resistances dont mean that much after all when they cap somewhere in thousands hehe...
