level difference?Follow

I thought I seen a patch come out saying that the level difference between grouped players was takin away so any level can group with any level and still gain experience is this true or is there a level rule still in effect?

I've never heard of that. I can't imagine them doing that.

there was a message that said:

*** Gameplay ***

Have a level 50 person that you group with? We've made it so you can now get experience while adventuring with them, following the same rules as normal.

- The EverQuest II Team

that was the only thing i saw on it. anywhere. and it wasnt april first, so it really confused me, as i didnt see any difference when grouped with a higher level toon. not sure if it's a sidekick thing like CoH or what... havent really explored it.

It does not say "high level person", it says "level 50 person".
I would guess that since that is the top level, they do not get any more xp and if any level below 50 were grouped with them, they did not get it either - and now they have fiexed that.

That seems to be more likely than to open up for more powerleveling.

that makes more sense. they could have made it a tad less cryptic though. no one i know is above 30, so it didnt occur to me to think of it that way :).

the exp in CoH when sidekicked was no greater than when normal, so it wasnt powerleveling, it was like being able to group with your friends, no matter what level they were. that's why that thought wandered through the dusty attic in my head ;).

My 20 Necromancer got invited into a group that had a 30 something-or-another in it and, when I joined, I got a message that told me something to the effect that the 'level range was too great between the lowest and highest level' and that 'I would receive no xp and no Quest rewards while in this group'.
