Just hoping to draw upon everyones experience here I'm looking to start playing EQ2 I have a decent machine but only have a dial up connection atm EQ1 runs passably on it but I was wondering how EQ2 would do..is it worth getting or should I just wait until I can afford DSL or cable again Any input would be appreciated.

I don't have dial up, but I can say that in general my connection seems much more stable on EQ2 than EQ1. On EQ1 I was going LD a lot more and I could see the connection breaking up quite a bit. I assume this is because there is less content to EQ2 atm v. EQ1 which makes for more stability. I could be wrong, as I do not profess to understand how it really works, I just know I do not go LD nearly as much in EQ2, zoning is a lot faster too.

But someone with dial up should probably advise you before you take the plunge.
