scribe ALL 3 volume 10 essentials recipe booksFollow

Remember you can scribe the volume 10 essentials of other specialties. Just find another player to buy them from you in his specialized scoiety, or trade vor your own volume 10 essentials. Saves LOADS of coin in making interim products from other tradeskillers !!!
Some smart sellers put them on broker boards too... for a profit.

I truly do hope they fixed this as this is not intended game play but an exploit.

While I agree that this option was not intended and is an exploit, it is not an illegal exploit.

SOE has stated that it will be corrected in the future and said we should not be surprised when players will no longer have access to the additional books out of class that they scribed.

Also as i was getting to lvl 20 on my Alchemist Alt i found that i could scribe all 3 sub-class books. When i was lvl 19 and 103% into it , right before i went to talk w/ the Iron forge lady,I tried to scribe the lvl 20 Essential guides. It allowed me to scribe all 3 of the Scholar-based lvl 20 essential and advanced guides at 103% into lvl 19 Scholar. A craftsman friend did the same for her 3 craftsman-based (provisioner, Woodworker, and Carpenter) lvl 20 guides. Enjoy ~

I am curious, does your chemistry skill still go up when you are doing alchemy? Your fletching skill, when woodworking? Do you get the higher spells? I suspect not, but please confirm.

Having seen that they happily admit the speed advantage of knight horses was their mistake but they are not going to fix it I can't see what justification they have for fixing any of their mistakes.

This one does give people a small ramp into dependencies and specialisations and I cannot see it being unbalancing

Well Moorgard admitted to it on the SoE forums so I guess you're just a naturally fast runner or you got a lame horse.

This is what he said in a thread of people complaining about it.

We explained up front that these spells were meant for nothing more than flavor and fun. Since fun is an entirely subjective term, it's difficult to please everyone.

It was not intended that the horse spell that paladins and shadowknights receive would have a speed buff, but due to an error on our part it does. It's a slight speed increase compared to other mounts, but it exists nonetheless. Our options at this point are:
  • Nerf the speed buff on the flavor horses so they provide no actual benefit.

  • Spend development time trying to think up marginally useful spells for all subclasses. Then come up with another round of these abilities when people complain that a different class has one that is somewhat more useful than their own.

  • Do nothing.

  • We have chosen the third option at this time. The effect of the horses is not such that it gives knights a game-imbalancing advantage, and we see no benefit in taking a minor perk away from a couple classes just to satisfy someone else.

So yes, knights get a flavor spell that is actually useful, and other subclasses don't. The flavor spells are a relatively minor element of gameplay, and we don't plan to modify them at this time.

Now I'm not complaining about it myself. I'm just saying that if that is their attitude to what they admit to be an error on their part then I don't think they are going to be changing the booko scribing error in an awful hurry either.
