Well I know quite everything about it, the only doupt I have about housing is the physical space.. I mean, how is the space actually divided in all the players? is it like ffxi where you have a spot where averybody goes and goes into a zone and gets to there house or is there diferent spaces for each character or something like that? well i dont think its quite like that cause they could not fit so many houses in the city, so how does it work?

Thanks

You go to a door in an inn to start and "buy" a room. All players who live in this inn use the same door. When you click the door you may either enter your room or "visit" another player there who has set his room to allow visitors. Later you can get rid of your newbie inn room and buy an "apartment" in the city - or even a house. Same basic deal there.

i would like to know is there any reason to have a house except for selling stuff i mean if you only adventure and dont really care about having a place to park and hawk your wares do you really have to have a house?i never had any place in eq1 why besides merchant abilities do i need one in eq2 the other day i was soo happy to finally have 15 silver even after i had bought the stuff i needed then i went to my apt to visit my pet dragon and smack 5 silver rent a 1/3 of my money gone and the prices on houses in the city are very high for the nice ones all that just to have basically a stall like in luclin bazaar? or are there other benifits to housing i dont know about yet?

You can fill it up with stuff. Later in the game if you are a member of a powerfull guild you can put tradeskill containers in there. There is no reason you "need" a house and if your so inclined you can just relinquish it and share a friends bulliten board to sell stuff.

Yes there are some free standing structures that only 1 owner can have. You can't live there until they give it up.

I believe most these are guild houses.

The other good thing about having a house with a guild is (from what I hear) you can buy Worktables, etc. And allow all the guild member do tradeskills in a house. That is the only other reason Y I think you would want a house is to set it up as a privite tradeskill area.

A few members of my guild have houses set up that they allow the other tradeskillers to work in on their benches and forgest and what not.

Wuite a few of my guild members are already getting their tradeskill levels pretty high, one or two of them do furniture others make spells/abilities. We are, however, missing armorsmiths and weaponsmiths. So if anyone on Butcherblock is into making either of those two, shoot Deykann (me) a tell in game or something.

I usually give all my harvests to anyone doing tradeskills (as do most of the other members/officers/etc). I've been known to come back with 5 or 6 stacks of each type of item I was harvesting. =p

Yes, but only one of you can be the owner. That means only one can pay the rent and/or relinquish ownership.

Yes she can. In fact, this is what I do with my alts. However, unless they've changed things, only the owner of the house can interact with the dragon. So, if she moves over to your place, she will no longer be able to issue commands to her dragon.

This information is about 3 weeks old at the soonest, though, so someone correct me if they've changed this.

Hi.
Just my input, I wondered myself what having a house was worth besides selling and I realized that if you are a person who likes to have something to show for their success in EQ, you would have a very clean and organized home with expensive furnishings. Personly I like the idea. Becoming a carpenter myeself =D.

Just for grins, I took a tour of a three room split level in South Qeynos. Nice place but it gave me a serious case of sticker shock.

Asking price was several plat and upkeep was several gold...

My little 5sp room at the inn is looking better all the time!

Seems now, that CE gifts are now lore, no trade. She cannot put her dragon in your house if you are the owner. Pissed me off when I went to move some stuff in my house and now I cannot. They should have known people would share houses!
