I plan to move from my one-room apartment to a two-room apartment in Qeynos. Now I have the option of buying one in North Qeynos for 6g 40s, in South Qeynos for 9g 60s, or in Qeynos Harbor for 12g 80s (all without status points involved). The apartments are all the same (I checked), so that leaves me with the question... is there any added bonus to the more expensive apartments that explains the price difference?

LOL.....If you can afford 12 gold a week, I think you will have to let US know what the difference is.

Other then better locations no, look at what you can do in each of those zones and the zones they connect to. You will see why there is a price diff.

It's not 12 gold per week, it's a 12 gold purchase price. The actual weekly maintainance is probably around 1 gold. You can sell Tier-2 app 3 spells overnight, one night per week, and make that much.

What I meant was the initial buying price, like RussoEQ said. Upkeep costs are 32s, 64s or 1g28s respectively. I just wanted to know if there were any hidden bonuses to justify the price difference. The walking distance to the nearest mariners bell is not worth 6 gold in my opinion. The view is not much to speak of in any of the apartments, since you can't look out of the windows. So... I guess I will go cheap and move to North Qeynos. :)

Well one major bonus from the buyers viewpoint is accessibility.

The normal reason to have a big house is to use it as a centre for selling higher-end tradeskill stuff. When you're paying 1g or more the broker's cut starts to bite.

I always travel to the vendor for major purchases and given the fact that Qeynos Harbor has a mariners bell accessible from all suburbs I prefer it. South Qeynos is marginally easier from two suburbs but still a trek and North Qeynos is a total pain to get to. Perhaps this is why NQ < SQ < QH.

If two vendors were the same price for an item I'd go to the one in QH.

Another thing to consider is you get more decorating options in QH... meaning better materials to upgrade your walls, floor and ceiling. Also some have said that the QH is a brighter room. From my visits to them to purchase from player merchants I must say that the QH rooms are far brighter than my NQ room.

Hrmm...
In Qeynos Harbor, you do have access to the mariner's bells, which you can go pretty much everywhere (inner city as well as newbie areas and Antonica).

In North Qeynos, what do you have? A gate to Antonica, Elddar (sp?) Grove and South Qeynos. Oh, you could use the Down Below to go from inner city zone to inner city zone, but still, the convenience is clearly on the side of QH.

Also, there's a broker in QH and the Black Market fence...

I'd say QH is a pretty good location.

However, I personally hate the smell of fish and will probably move to South or North Qeynos whenever I can afford to.

Cadfy do your self a favor and get the QH location. I have the Suite in SQ. It’s nice in all, but the problem is this. The Suite is located in the tavern right in the middle of the zone. As soon as I sit down from afk selling I have to drag all those coppers completely encumbered to the bank. There is no Bank in SQ.

I also use strong boxes for inventory space while afk selling. It takes me a good 10mins to get him there.

If I had to do it over again QH is well worth the few extra. You will save a lot of time. Plus people won’t look at you funny, the other day I was working my way inch by inch to the bank and the walking guards in SQ passed me =/

I used to think that was funny lol.
