I'm thinking of making an Ogre Bruiser, curious as to what primary stat monks/bruisers should focus on when getting equipment.

(nm found the answer already lol)

Just wanted to continue this if only to confirm your findings with mine.

As fighters, our max Power is dependant on Strength. However, I am reading that AGI is more important later on, if you want to be a tank ( yes, contrary to popular belief, we can tank, esp. past lev 30). Having hp, with sta or more power with str is nice, the latter if true if you want to increase DPS, but having high Agility and not being hit is best.

Monks could "Tank" in EQ1, but they can never out "tank" me! =D

Str being primary, and Agi being secondary, your gonna wanna focus more on doing damage as there are better classes out there to tank and hold aggro, Guardian, Berserker, Shadowknight, Paladin being examples, but when all else fails you can almost tank as well, hence why agility can prove beneficial.

I've noticed that Agility followed up with strength to be the way to go... it also seems that agility has something to do with the amount of damage output. Now guys, please don't set my fur aflame if I am wrong, I'm simply stating my observations on the whole matter. As Dezi ( my ratonga drunken barroom troublemaker ) I have had an agility above 50 since about level 16 and I seemed to be doing a bit more damage than my Iksar brawler did at those levels. Could be that, due to being shorter, Dezi was closer to hitting those vital spots but she also had about 15-20 agility points on my Iksar.

As for what clothing I choose to wear? Why, whatever best accentuates my white fur. Oh yes, and something that looks slimming.
