Blacksmithing ,where do I start?Follow

Its really the same to start with all crafts. You should, really, really, really begin crafting on the Isle of Refuge, as resources as easy as pie to get (they even spawn in the town O.o). You will just begin by going to the tower in the middle of the town on the IoR, and talk to the guy in there (can't remember his name). He will give you a quest to clean up the basement. It is an extremely easy quest. I dont even know if it is possible to fail. So, you do that, and then go speak to him again. He will tell you that you can now use the facilities. He will also ask if you can make a tin spike for him. Accept the quest.

You can now craft! Although, you can only make two or three things at this point. Always try to make "even" or "challenging" recipes at lower levels, as you will level very very fast while u are still just an artisan. Once you level, go to the merchant (straight ahead when you exit the tower), and you can buy the artisan books there (vol = your crafting level). Just take it from there! For more general info on tradeskills, etc, read the first part of my guide (linked in my sig). The part on tradeskills will help you, although the level by level break down is for Scholars.

When you get to level 9 with your artisan, go to the same place that I say to turn to a Scholar, and speak to the same NPC. Simple choose to be whatever craft you want to be. Have fun!
