Stats for Food & DrinksFollow

#1 Dec 31 2004 at 12:02 PM Rating: Decent
Is there any links or info anyone can give to help decide on which food and/or drink to choose before heading out to adventure.
I have not seen anything that gives a breakdown, stats, and cost of different items.
It would be nice to have it all together in one location for easy reference.

Thanx for the help.

Official food stats are not out yet. But SOE said that one of the schduled patches will add the stats to the food and drinks when you examine them.

I've wondered this as well. Can't see spending the money on state food without knowing what it will do.

At the moment all we can say is that crafted food and drink gives the best regen rates for health and power. So I guess higher levels will be the best.

Some of the main effects of the food can be pretty easily determined. Like others have said, crafted food and drink is by far better than any bought from NPCs. Food gives Health regen, drink gives power regen, and it is regenerated as a percentage. The higher the tier of the food/drink, the higher the percentage. Now some food and drinks may be giving other benefits besides the regen rates. If they are, we will be in the dark about it until SOE either makes the patch, or releases info on them.

I have also noticed the quality affects how long the effect lasts. Vendor bought food only lasts 30 minutes, but the highest quality crafted food I've seen lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Food and drink is very straight forward.

Quality of the food sets the duration. From 30 minutes to hours.

Teir (T1->T5) of the food sets the benefits. Benefits are only increased regen time.. (only? VERY NICE at t2 and above).

You can not get more of a benefit then your own teir. So buy food and drink that match your level..

If you don't have good food or drink your wasting yours, and your groups time. Often as not groups these days will simply kick you out if your regen is not keeping up. Especialy true of casters. I will usualy had people 2-3 food and drink but if they repeat at a later date out they go. Nothing is worse then having your casters out of power. :)
