Stats effects?Follow

Does anyone know which stats are the best for tradeskills?

Or is it like EQ1 and they make it dependant on your class?

Also, can anyone see the equivilent items to the geerloks in this game? That would make things wild! What about a blessed harvesting device for foresting and mining??

I would find a way to buy one.

I have seen nothing to date that suggest stats have any effect. As far as race, the only factor I have seen there is the possible selection of a trait to support crafting. I have not raised my adventuring level enough to test it.

The only thing I have noticed so far is power. Using the tradeskill spells (buffs) takes power, so the more you have the better off you are. But that said, two of my crafting alts are only level 11. One is an alchemist and one is a woodworker. So far I haven't had any real problems power-wise -- I just have to wait a bit sometimes when power is drained.

This is incorrect: more power is not beneficial to your crafting ability, because all the tradeskill abilities that take power are based on a percentage. In fact, more power is DETRIMENTAL to your crafting ability, because although the tradeskill abilities (and reactive failures, for that matter) are based on a percentage, the healing bonuses provided by drink are NOT, so it's most to your advantage to have the smallest power pool and highest power regen rate possible.

Not sure what you are basing your assumptions on, but I haven't noticed your theory in practice. My level 22 wizard has a lot more power than my level 11 rogue and when both were making washes, oils, resins and ink the rogue was out of power much quicker. Also it would seem that even if it is a percentage of power used, the more power you have, the more you would regen with high regen drink.

Trial and error shows that power used is based on your total power. This appears to be true for health hits from the forge.

Power regen is a little different. Everyone can get the same benefit from say food... But there are other options.

The best crafter in the game will proubably be a level 3 character fresh from LOR without citizenship, backed up by say an Enchanter using Breeze. Breeze provides a FIXED point boost, when used on a low level character they can craft using high power effects constantly. :) (tested this on tuesday).

I have to agree with the tradskill abilities comment. I have done hundreds apon hundreds of combinations of various types and out of all of them I have had 1 bloch and that was becouse I got distracted by one of my kids getting hurt.

I use the trade skill abilities like I was casting on Innoruuk himself. And yes you stats do have a little to do with it and yes you power pool can effect it obviously, and the tradeskill abilities have the biggest effect. I have made combinations that used all pristene lvl items, started the combine and watched it drop a tier and a half almost instantly but the cool part is I have mess with the abilities and I made the durability meter rise althe way back up and the 4th tier reappeared. The moral of the story is everything is a factor, your stats, your chosen abilities and you! The Truth is out there. Happy hunting.
