I heard rumours of apprentice IV spells going to be added to the game, have you all heard of it? If you heard of it, are the gonna be player crafted, npc sold or mob dropped?

I have talked to one of the Devs...
as of last week 12-23-04 there MIGHT be AppIV skills...
IF added they will be the result of a "Pristine" combine of an AppIII tradeskill...

I can see the newbie scouts on IoR now...
Quick Strike AppIV... the QS AppIII is a lvl 1 trivial.. easily made and this is going to totally ***** the marketplace if implemented...

I thought in the instruction manual app 4 when they were actually available were quested. First level was for leveling, 2nd mechant bought, 3rd level player made and 4th quested. Don't have my instruction manual on me but I swear it says that.

I dont believe it said that in the manual (I think you are thinking of: app1 - naturally given; app2 - NPC; app3 - crafted; ad1 - dropped), but other are right about it being pristine quality scrolls. This was suppose to have been added in the patch when the servers went down for two and a half days. The patch was scrapped for the time being due to the crash, but it is supposed to be added soon, once they get everything ready for it, and make sure thst it wont cause another system failure. I cannot find a link at this time to it, but I know someone quoted everything that was going to be added in this monster patch, such as effect descriptions for food, drink, and potions, as well as the app4 spells, and much, much, more. I personally cant wait for it, as all my scrolls are always pristine, and I have never gotten a reward for it, besides increased craft xp :P

I have the manual in front of me and i quote

"within each rank there are four grades, I through IV. eeach represents a slight increase in potency over the previous grade within the rank.

Grade I is a general reward for new levels and defeating enemies.

Grade II is found in shops.

Grade III is availible through tradeskill crafting

Grade IV is availible through questing."

regardless of what has been implemented that is what the manual says.
