I have a silly server question. Thus far I've made a lvl 11 sorceror on the Everfrost server. I notice that it has a medium load, and has quiet a lot less players then the servers that have a full load (based on # posts on official forums. Although not perfectly accurate I assume that a server forum with like 10x the posts is more populated).

Just wondering if it would be smarter to make a new character on a fuller server? Will my characters have problems finding groups on less populated ones? Or is their disadvantages to more populated servers..

Thanks for your input.

I am on Mistmoore (one of the most crowded servers) because that's where my guild decided to go. It was just luck of the draw that put us there. MM is very crowded and we would move to another, less populated server in a heartbeat it we could.

You have the potential to get more groups in a fuller server, but Ive noticed the lag can be bad when there are a lot of players in one zone, along with waiting your turn to kill quest mobs. If you're looking to group a lot, a full server is your best bet. But therer are disadvantages along to that pro. I'm on Blackburrow (very full server) and sometimes I wish I could switch to another, less crowded server, but all my friends from EQ are on BB.

Should pay more attention to EQ2s main website, they had a character transfer in early Decemeber. Who knows maybe they will do it again (not likely though).

They actually had them on a couple of occasions and we seriously considered moving the whole guild over to Neriak. The problem was/is that the character transfers are not garanteed. Therefore, if we all put in for a transfer, we could have wound up with half the guild moved and half remaining on the original server. Since the process of moving is done by character and not by account, you could also wind up with half your alts on one server and half on the other. We inquired about all of these things, but since we recieved no assurances from SoE regarding any of our concerns, we just remained on MM.
