I don't have access to my own computer at the moment to test this information, so I'm wondering if this crap is accurate. One of the coolest things about this game when I bought it was that I play something unique and difficult, as well as strange and unheard of, such as a Wood Elf wizard for example. This would truly tick me off.

No that table is not correct. The starting cities look right but the class restrictions are not right at all. You could be a wood elf wizard if you wanted

You can be anything. An Ogre Wizard or a Ratonga Guardian are both fair game. There are just suggested classes for races. Obviously an Ogre makes a more natural Guardian than a Ratonga, but if you have your heart set on a Ratonga I'm sure you could make it work through some hard work.
Also that page is what shows what is available to them easly.
To do something against your alignment you have to do the betrayal quest to join the other city. Say a High elf defiler for example.
Now it can be done.. but that quest is rather tedious.. and difficult. Something to think about.. if it's really something you want before you take the time.

Early in Beta there were restrictions.
