If I have 5 days til next payment on housing and I relinquish ownership with all my furniture still there...

a.) If I was to purchase the house again would the furniture still be there?

b.) Would the upkeep still be in 5 days?

I'm not sure the furniture will still be there. There is a stern warning when Relinquising that all contents will be lost.

Yes, you can get free upkeep at inn rooms by collecting the contents and relinquishing ownership. Then re-buying the inn rooms. Inn rooms are free to buy. It's an easy way to save 5 silver a week if you don't keep alot of furniture.

Just wait until you get bored... you'll think to yourself I don't want this inn room where all the refugees live! You'll then head out to one of the inns in the city proper and fork-over from 6-12 gold to buy a better room and spend 60-120 silver a week in upkeep. But that's not enough, you'll want to upgrade that room... worn wood looks ugly, you need oak! And then you need to decorate... have to fill all that space! Then you'll get lonely... a pet... you need a pet!

So now I have a swingin gnome bachelor pad and my pockets are much lighter!

I'll have you know my ceilings are very high thank you very much... I have all my wee friends over for a jump on the bed party... and when I use my petrified troll eye there is still head room!

I need to buy some strongboxes actually. Would you happen to be on the Unrest server?
