None of them! BEcause we can't duel! =D

Edit: But if we could, it'd be Guardian no doubt!

Lol no, it would be zerker, because they have emence damnige and alot of self damnige + buff skills. And on top of that there def isent that bad. A guardian has ok damnige and good def. and alot of def self duffs ( witch is good for party | tank | ).

Something tells me... Get your lvl 20 class first, then have a say.

I love this..

"Your mind is like a Parachute it only works if it's open" in his sig, I had that posted on my teacher's wall in 6th grade.

You want to know who the best dueler is gonna be?

The person who knows how to play their class better than the person they are dueling.

Back in EQ1 I've seen a rogue take down a bard in a arena match...how did he do it, you ask? He knew what he was doing.

With the way the game is set up now, talking about only fighters, I think a Monk/Bruiser will beat any other fighter class. At higher levels, Monks become nearly untouchable by mobs, in fact making very good tanks. The highest fighter on my server at this time is a level 49 Monk. Hence if they can rarely be hit by ^^ NPC's higher in level than them, a PC of equal level will certainly not be able to and a hit often enough to win a mano a mano fight.

I'm a chanter in eq1. I've beaten every class in arena. Cept for bard, wizard. Those 2 are just tough.

Assume often?

I Have toons over lvl 20 i just haven't updated my sig.

The point is: No class is any good at dueling because you can't duel. therefore any comments about dueling are pointless.

I think the point of the thread is "what if you could duel, who would be best". But you also have a point in that, we cant really be certain who would beat whom, unless the choice to duel/pvp is allowed ( PLEASE MAKE PVP SERVERS!! ). Who knows what strategies will develop, or how classes can match up. Exploits might be discovered that may/may not exist during a PvE encounter.

Not trying to diss anyone, although I think this is a very interesting topic.

Anyone who have any information regarding the possibility of PvP element being introduced to eq2, please share wit us.

In my opinion they need to just leave it the hell alone.

If they introduce a PvP element into EQ2, do you have any idea how much "balancing" is going to take place after-the-fact? Been there, done that. Not interested in going through it again. The moment they do it, all bets are off as far as your current understanding of what your class is all about. They will inevitably run into walls, from a code standpoint, that they cannot scale. This will necessitate all kinds of mental olympics on their part, which will result in all sorts of completely assinine new gameplay rules that are undoubtedly laughable.

Think really hard before you "wish" for PvP in EQ2...because you just might get what you wish for.

I *love* PvP...but not enough to make me willing to watch Sony ruin a completely good game. So I'm perfectly willing to get my PvP fill in an FPS.

The best duelist ( which would be the correct noun here )?

Why... that'd be the one who wins! *Rimshot*
