I know that the main component decides what quality is available to craft but does using Pristine sub-components make a difference in the making of the final item, Anyone know?

Yesterday I was trying to make some carbonite vanguard and except the studs ,everything was pristine. Never got the pristine "line" tho, like was bugged or something.
In the same time, on carbonite chainmail all the subcomponents were shaped and still , I got pristine item.
Anyone else have this problem? Should I report it as a bug or something? It's really a pitty to spend so much time and money and not be able to get a decent piece of armor:(

Many of the T3 and up items are bugged.

Some of them require componets that are not in the game or can not be made. Many of them are linked incorrectly, for example a Shaped Componet may yeild a Pristine finnal, but a Pristine componet will be limited to Shaped Finnal. These items should be bugged so Sony can get off their **** and fix em. :)

Carbonite Vangarud is bugged currently...

This is stupid but it works, don't use a pristine primary on that combine... use shapped. Untill they fix it that will work.

I've been making a bunch of arrows. these require arrow heads, staves, and fletching.

For the staves I make crude quality, and i have my tailor friend make crude fletching. This can be done very quickly, and because these synths do not yield multiple items, it makes no difference.

Now, for my alchemist, making pristine quality yields 4 output items from 1 synth, so in that situation, it makes sense to fight for pristine items.

I would say a good rule is in situations where output quality does not determine output number, make the quickest possible sub components. Where quality DOES determine quantity, make the most possible.
