sup peeps i just recently quit swg and have been playin WoW since its realease, its gotten a bit repeditive doin the same kind of quests over and over, im lookin for somthin thats gonna give me some variation, and not have the definition "different quests" be: kill 10 pigs then the next quest is kill 10 rats, that gets boring. what i want to know is do i HAVE to get in a group with people just to be able to level? cause thats what it was like in ffxi and i could never find anyone to group with. im just lookin for sumthin that will eb as fun as swg was for me, im hopin eq2 can do that for me

Solo content is there, but gets scarce the higher you go. Bad news is that its almost always not worth the effort. Grouping is like 10x quicker xp. Its like FFXI where you'll be soloing mostly for loot. The current lotto system is kinda buggy, and the NBG folks will have you walking away with coppers for an hours worth of fighting. Not cool.

All game quests get a bit repetative. In EQ2 you have the kill kind, the run and fetch kind, then kill for semi rare type item kind and the dreaded camp a named kind. Can't share a quest with a person even if they are eligible for it like in WoW, but you can view other group members quest list and see what you have in common.

EQ2 does do a better job instancing than WoW, but the zoning will prolly annoy the heck out of you for the first week or so.

As for fun factor, that mostly depends on you and the people you hang around with.

Yeah. I've noticed that how much fun I have adventuring in a group depends on the other group members.
Most times I'll get a great group, but every so often I'll get a group with a total *** in it.
But still, the good out-weighs the bad.
