Where do I get a City Writ for my guild? I would like to increase our status, but I do not know how. Any help is greatly apprecited, and thanks in advance.
not sure about freeport, and not sure which side you are on, but here's the list for qeynos, with locations when i could remember them:

You also need to have "patron" status in your guild.
Keep in mind, there are four possible choices (soon to be 5 when artisans can help) of where to get your writs from, and you will increase your faction with one, and decrease it with the others when you complete your writs. Choose the one you want (I really don't know how to decide, other than looking up what their status merchants will have later down the line).

we've actually found some posts that state that the negative faction is much, much lower than the positive hits, so we've been picking up writs from each and then all doing them at once. i duo'd yesterday and the two of us earned 10% guild xp in about an hour by doing one or two that we both had.
in addition, if you hail the npc several times *without* hitting accept, you may be able to get more than one at once, though this doesn't always happen, is a known bug, and may be fixed soon.
we'll end up with better faction with one or more than the others, but in the end, all 5 factions will increase, though we keep forgeting ironforge, so they'll hate us shortly if we dont start doin theirs, too :).

this is a checkbox in the guild window... may be leader and officer only. havent checked to see if members can check it themselves, though you'd think they could.
i think you have to be "member" status or higher to become a patron.

after i got home, i read through the info at that link and have a correction to make, as well.
the linked page states that the tier of the task you will receive is dependent upon guild level. this is not true, as my 15 chanter received tier 2 tasks, and our guild is most definitely not tier 2 :-/.

I think the guild writs and faction writs are 2 separate things.
my apologies... i am speaking of city tasks, with which, if the person is a patron of the guild, one can earn both personal and guild status and faction, and thereby level the guild. i'm not sure about any other type, unless you refer to guild hallmark raids.

City writs give personal and guild status and level the guild. The level of writ given is tied to your adventurer level now.
Faction writs only give personal faction (there are 5 different factions per city), and the writ givers are not the same as the city writ givers.
