question qbout heritage given by droped itemFollow

I m about to reach lvl 29 and stiletto (named ratonga) that gives the manastone quest is about to become gray.
So here is my question : since he ll be gray in 3% he will no more drop a chest which is needed in order to start the stileto order quest aka manastone. I have read on various forums that even if the mob con gray the quest item giver still pop into you inventory. Is that true or shall i stop killing mob hoping for him to pop then get group to kill him and hope again to win roll on the item?

Right click your xp bar and choose the option to disable combat xp. After that make sure you don't complete any quests until you get the drop.

If this works like any other quest then you will not be able to get the drop. Example: A Sandy Bone Shard on the IoR (you can't get this drop after level 3, which is the level you are when you arrive at the island and choose your profession)
