Burlap Padding/Iron StrutsFollow

#1 Dec 27 2004 at 2:00 AM Rating: Decent
Hello, I'm a level 13 Craftsman with all the essentials volumes I can use, and the furniture at my level requires components that I can't make (Burlap Padding, Iron Studs, Iron Struts). I was wondering if I need another volume for these pieces, or do I need to find someone that can actually make these things? I'm in the Crimson Framers society in Freeport and they only seem to sell carpentry books...

Get a buddy to buy one of the level 10 books (armor and sage). You can actually scribe them even though you are a craftsman. Not sure if its a bug but you skill ability allows you to do so. That will give you the ability to make IRon Studs. Not sure about the padding though. I really haven't done much tailoring.

The ability to scribe other level 10 books is a bug that's supposed to be fixed soon, and SOE says they will remove these recipes from your list when fixed. Burlap padding is an Outfitter level 10 skill, find a friend to make it for you.

The Crimson Framers will have the Craftsman books 10 - 19 too, just scroll down to the bottom of the merchant's list.

I dont really care if they fix it or not, i have a 17 scholar, 12 craftsman and 12 outfitter. Besides, once you hit 20 you need tempers/resins/oils/washes that only alchemists can make.
